The Story

After encountering the photo above in a vintage book about knitting, I was immediately intrigued. What are those? Pence jugs, it turns out: tiny knitted jugs that can hold coins, which are a form of "Victorian fancywork". I had to put down my scarf project and give the pence jug a try. After many days of intense concentration and effort, learning how to use tiny double-pointed needles and overcoming many mistakes, I finally made one!
